Parents are always free, and must accompany children at ART PARK**.
For ages 3 through 9. see below for more information...
There are at least 8 projects to choose from and you can do all 8 if you want.***
Some project centers are activity and play oriented, like our dry-erase marker sculptures, while others let you create artwork to take home, using paint, modeling clay, printing, stamping, pasting, markers and pastels.
*A few centers, like clay modeling or printmaking, may have a limited amount of materials available per child, but if you want to create more, additional supplies may be purchased at our store.
**Art Park is not a drop-off center, it's for family time, like a mom & me center. A parent must always accompany children. If you want to enroll your child in one of our regular classes, follow the class link above.
***Instructions are at each center, and there is a Park Ranger who can answer any questions you have. Projects change periodically so when you return, you will see some new things to do, and also see some favorites.
AGES: Older children are welcome if there is room for them and they do not dominate the activities. We have space in the back (except on Tuesdays) for older kids. For bringing children younger than 3 years, please use discretion, as the activities are designed for 3 and up. If you have a two year old, he or she will not be able to use the art supplies and this can be frustrating. Also, there is not a lot of room for extra, non-art children, although a stroller or carrier is ok if we don't have too many already.
Babies are fine if they are not disruptive to the entire room and are contained in arms or carriers. If you have 3 or more children, and one is a baby and another is a todler, it can be difficult for you to manage unless you have some other moms with you that have fewer children and can help out some.
