Classes meet for 33 weeks during the school year from September 9 to the end of May. We have a class on Mondays and another one with different projects on Wednesdays – for an hour each day. Students may choose one or both days. There is a discount for two days.

One day is $792 for the entire year (pro-rated if you begin during the year).

Two days saves $135.

There is a $99 supply fee (also pro-rated) for each day for the entire year.

We work to provide a safe and welcoming environment, that encourages artistic self-expression for adults with special needs. We tend to focus on the process of art, versus the final product. Becoming comfortable with various media and materials and learning specific art techniques allows students to feel confident even when on their own. We also value incorporating adaptive technologies as needed so that all ability levels can participate and work on improving their fine motor skills.

While we have engaged with several students with disabilities over the years, this is our first program specifically for these wonderful individuals. We are so excited, because we have found a teacher who is not only highly qualified, but also very enthusiastic about teaching this new program at Firstlight.

This class is for adults over the age of 18 and out of high school.
